Its not something I talk about a lot, but I have a very low immunity to illness/germs/viruses. It is a created condition caused by drugs I take so that another condition doesn’t whack (kill) me. When I get sick with a cold or virus, I get real sick and stay sick a long time. If I was a live poker player, I would probably be sick more, and the recent spread of Swine Flu would make live play very foolhardy for me.
Thankfully, there are online poker rooms that i can play at while isolating myself from swine flu as it continues its rampage across the US. I am off to get groceries and my drugs that make me susceptible today. After, I expect to remain cooped up for a while trying to avoid becoming extremely ill as the rest of you are mildly to seriously ill with swine flu.
If you are interested, just google Wegeners Granulomatosis. Thats my little friend, and the drug that drops my immunity is cyclophosphomide (cytoxin). But essentially its low immunity or gruesome death.
Avoid pigs people!
RedKings Poker has a tie in with their name thats pretty neat. Get dealt the king of hearts and the king of clubs as down cards in a texas holdem hand and receive a $10 bonus. Play those two cards to showdown and lose with them and RedKings Poker will give you a $50 bonus.
You do have to e-mail them to get the bonus, and the hand must be dealt in a cash (ring) game to be eligible. But its still a neat little name promotion that costs the player nothing to pursue.
Cake Poker has an interesting little promo going. Their gold cards that players accumulate through playing cash tables can now be used to buy into some nifty tournaments with the prize(s) being a $2,500 prize package to event #54 (nlhe, $1,500 buyin) at the WSOP. It is usually a different gold card each day, but if you happen to have the card, it is a free way to try your hand at a WSOP game.
Cake Poker has been growing their brand and their network quite successfully. Some of the best games are on the Cake Network.
Well, despite the government’s attempts to regulate morality and impinge on the freedoms that Americans once fought for, it is still fairly easy to move money around on internet poker sites. The easiest method, and the most popular before dictatorship replaced democracy was echecks directly from your bank account. Surprisingly there are still many eChecks poker sites out there that allow USA players to deposit.
Impressively, Full Tilt Poker still does eChecks withdrawals as well as deposits. My last withdrawal from them using the eChecks method took less than 3 days from clicking withdraw to it showing up in my bank account. Very impressive results, I must say. Thanks for sticking by us Full Tilt when so many others bailed.
Ok, maybe I tend to have blinders on when it comes to online poker, but until today I was not even aware that Neteller was still in business. I am in the US, so I thought they folded up when they bailed on us North Americans.
But players in Europe and other parts of the world can still use Neteller at a huge array of Neteller accepting poker sites for deposits. Good for you Europe. I recall them being one of the easiest payment processors available. Some day, perhaps in my lifetime, freedom will return to the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Until then, pray for us in the land of the opressed and the home of the blamers.
Through some convoluted legal manuevering by shell companies, and front men, Bodog has regained controll of their (dot)com name that a bought and paid for judge in Nevada had taken away from them. The sad state of affairs in the United States is that a domain could even be taken from a company that operates outside of the US. Giving the lie to everything the internet stands for and was meant to be. One shady judge in a state with an obvious conflict of interest can inpunge upon the freedoms and lives of everyone in the world. As I have said before, sad times my friends, sad times.
But congratulations to Bodog Poker for getting back what was theirs. I wonder what corrupt palms had to be greased to do it, however
Well, I managed to play the whole 24 hour marathon at Holdem Poker Chat. Not only that, but even though I did not win the grand prize, I managed to turn a $26 profit through the whole 24 games played. I was very tired at the end and swent right to bed as soon as I busted out of the last game at 12:30 pm. So today is about getting my house in order and lining up my ducks. Dishes, laundry, and updating my poker balances.
I also booked my Vegas flights for the WSOP today. I will be shipping out on June 26th and staying till at least July 7th. My plan is to only play one braceklet event, and hopefully win an entry to the main event. That remains to be seen, but its time to amass the cash for the trip by withdrawing from my sites with good balances.
Also, time to win some real cash too. Play time is over, its time to go to work

Taking a page from the USA book of narrow interests, european countries are now trying to protect their pet online gambling projects by restricting those of other nations. Fun stuff, greed is a wonderous thing my friends.
Now Irish banks are starting to check their mortgage applicants’ banking records and are deny those who show banking activity involving online gambling. Pretty Orwellian. Europeans and other non-US players can avoid this type of tyranny by using a third party payment processor. One of the most popular of these is MoneyBookers. With over 6.5 million users, they are well established and guard your privacy for you. Most poker sites accept MoneyBookers and tranactions are instant.
It is sad that we all have to hide from tyrants and greed mongers to play a little 5ct/10ct poker from home when its convenint to us, but such is the state of the world of evil corporate greed and bought “public” servants. A laughable misnomer that stopped being funny some time ago.
