The 2009 WSOP begins with a huge $40,000 buyin game to celebrate the 40th year of the World Series of Poker.
It only seems fitting that the legendary Doyle Brunson has made it to day 2 in this event with a modest chip stack. Doyle has been there for all of it. He was won two WSOP Main Events and has played in every one of them.
He even has his own poker room. Doyles Room has some neat tournaments and offers the chance to play the man himself, Doyle Brunson twice a week for as little as $11. His site does have some creative and fun tournaments not found at other sites too.
I am rooting for Doyle in every tournament he plays in this year’s WSOP. And you should be too.
