Well it was bound to happen.  A day would come along where nothing worked and everything turned to shit.  Tuesday was that day.  The signs were there to be spotted but the blind squirrel had to keep searching for an acorn well after it had been established that there were no oak trees in the vicinity.

In the beginning there were 3 games.  A deep run in a little $2k, a bubble in a $6 and a 2nd from bubble in an $11.  These failures must have changed my play some because I played poorly and often after that.  Not that some opponents didn’t play worse, but I am used to that and can usually adapt.

I have already deleted the list in an attempt to destroy the negatives but it panned out as -$99 for the day.  Sad day, and even sadder that I did not stop the spewage quicker.

Bail Out!

Well, the good news is that I increased my risk, to little avail.    I played only 7 tournaments but managed to risk $73 doing it.  The signature tournament was the Cake Poker $10k Bounty ($33).  Sadly, all my bigger tournaments with guaranteed pools I totally blanked on.  Yeah, a big goose egg.

I managed to win a small private PLO8 game $2.20 buyin, $17 cash, but I was still going to be pretty stuck.  While playing the 10k bounty, I decided to play a $4 FLHE tourney at PokerStars.  Well I quickly donked out of all the  big time tournaments last night and was left playing the FLHE game and being stuck for -$50 or so.

Miraculously I managed to final table the fixed tourney and should have done better than the 7th I got.  Sadly suckouts are a big part of the fixed game and these players were alarmingly fishy.  I cashed for $78 which allowed me to bail out the day with a modest +$21.  Beats losing, but doesn’t beat pulling down a cool G like Sunday either.
