Yes, I actually had fun playing poker yesterday. I made sure to compliment every poor play and encourage the player that they just hit some bad luck. I also did not make much money, but it was still fun.
I had to finish second in my last game, a private HORSE game on Absolute Poker, to get myself to +$9 for the day. But the outcome not withstanding, I played fairly well. I must have played 11 small tournaments, or so. Oh well, back at it today.
Whether I am playing horribly or just running into poor luck, it no longer really matters to me. I managed to drop -$151 over the weekend in the marathon, sports bets and some other games. The marathon was horrendous. The bad beats were tru7ly bad but the dumb moves may have been worse. I can’t tell yet, still too close to the event. I cashed in one whole marathon event. The Absolute Poker $11 buyin for a whopping $39. Bad week, bad month. Just all bad.
Well, I played the HPC $1 Omaha game at Absolute Poker. I was not planning to play anything else all day. Then I remembered that I had to get 1 FTP at Full Tilt Poker to stay on pace for the Take 2 promotion.
I just could not seem to get that damn point. I kept opening 2 tables and playing but the web page did not display any points. It was only after I had played four sets of two tables that i realized that the website was over 1hr behind on updating. Doh!
So on a day I was avoiding poker I played about 8 ring games, albeit shortly on all of them. Daily total +$16.00 thanks to the ring games.
Back at it today, hoping to not suck
